We’re seeing a LOT of embroidery this year—from the runways of New York Fashion Week to Milan street style. It’s everywhere, and it’s a new take on a very old style. Less Granny, more romantic and quirky cute. Think Jane Austen turned folk singer.

This is a truly versatile trend that can be dressed up or super casual. Designers like Gucci Dolce and Gabbana are leading the market with embroidered denim, sweatshirts and even shoes. We’ve also seen some pretty gorgeous embroidered accessories and ready to wear from retail giants like Zara and Topshop.

This is a perfect look to try for date night, Fashion Friday’s, or just a casual day out. Edge an embroidered top up with a pair of Doc Martins, or keep it classic with ballet flats and pearls and a cardigan. Just make it yours!
